Accent Modification Services
Clear Communication Specialists (CCS) provides accent modification programs with a focus on modifying pronunciation, voice and rhythm to communicate more clearly in standard American English (SAE). SAE is the variety of English used by most educated speakers throughout the world.
Having an accent is NOT a problem…it just reflects where you come from and how the people speak English there.
Whether you speak with pronunciation or grammatical patterns different from SAE, or use a varied rhythm or tone of voice, there is no need to eliminate them…rather, ADD to your repertoire of speaking styles! In certain, familiar situations you may find that your own variety of English is the way to go… and yet be able to use new pronunciation, rhythm, tone and grammatical forms when they best suit your needs.
You will want to consider one of our programs if one or more of the following is true:
- People have difficulty understanding you, face-to-face or over the phone.
- The way you speak interferes with your success on the job.
- You have trouble communicating in social situations.
Accent Modification Training introduces you to the basics in pronunciation, rhythm and tone of voice differences. You will learn your new style of speaking during structured speaking tasks and apply them to everyday and/or work-related speaking situations
CCS also offers an accent modification program directed specifically to Medical Professionals. With the increasing number of foreign-born medical professionals in the United States, there is a growing need to provide specific training in the area of communication skills to this population of professionals. Many professionals are quite proficient in their use of the English language itself (i.e. vocabulary), however their pronunciation, intonation patterns and lack of familiarity with idiomatic expressions and slang interfere with their ability to be clearly understood or to comprehend the subtle nuances of communication (i.e. sarcasm, jokes). CCS provides customized training related to words and sentences that are specific to the medical setting.

Public Speaking Power Program
CCS offers this program to the individual who is seeking to develop a stronger, more resonant voice. Individuals learn about their own voice and proper vocal hygiene. Training focuses on - identifying and eliminating vocal abuses and misuses,
- learning appropriate breath support for speech,
- customizing your own desired vocal pitch,
- resonance and volume control

Communication Skills For Customer Service
CCS offers this program for individuals whose Employers believe the person answering the phone, making the calls or dealing directly with the customer projects the right and first impression.
First impressions are lasting! Customers’ word of mouth travels a long way.
Often the first contact someone will have with your business is with the person who answers the phone, takes reservations, waits on the customer or works the game tables. For individuals who speak too rapidly or have poor pronunciation skills, but are otherwise a dedicated and valuable member of the team, CCS can assist you in being more successful on the job and in your personal life as well.
You will learn how to use an appropriate rate of speech as well as sharpen your overall pronunciation skills so that Your message and the Company’s message is clearly presented and understood. This program teaches you these necessary skills in structured speaking exercises and then helps you carry the newly learned skills over into your professional and personal speaking environments.
